Now in its 9th year, Sierra Art Trails is the most anticipated arts event in the region. The event takes place Friday, September 30th through Sunday Oct 2nd, from 10 am to 6 pm, rain or shine. Participating communities include: Ahwahnee, Bass Lake, Cedar Valley, Coarsegold, North Fork, Mariposa, Oakhurst, Yosemite Lakes Park, and surrounding communities.

Admission to the tour is $18 for 2 adults, and includes the annual Sierra Art Trails catalog, a lovely full color spiral bound publication that serves as a “ticket for two” for the event weekend, and as a directory of artists, galleries, and art events that take place in the area throughout the year.

Proceeds from catalog sales contribute to awards and scholarships presented by Sierra Art Trails each year. Since 2003, the organization has distributed over $9000 to art students, school art programs, and organizations involved in the visual arts.

This year’s catalog features detailed maps to all Art Trails sites, and a listing of exhibiting artists including painters, photographers, jewelers, sculptors, fiber artists, ceramicists, glass artists, woodcarvers, and more.

November 5 through December 4, 2011

Reception - Saturday, November 12th,  4 to 8 PM

We are excited to present this extraordinary art exhibit focused on the lands we love and need to preserve.

The exhibit will draw attention to our national and state parks, wilderness areas, public lands, fragile environments, and the flora and fauna that depend on them.

In a time when park budgets are being cut, state parks are closing, and environmental restrictions are loosening, it is vital to draw attention to these issues.

Our wild lands are under attack as the result of population growth, economic crisis, dwindling natural resources, energy shortages, and geopolitical conflicts.
