Art Trails 2010 catalogs Hot

Contact (559) 658-8844 Email info@sierraarttrails.org As the first weekend in October draws near, excitement is building for the Sierra Art Trails - Yosemite Foothills Open Studio Tour. Now in its 8th year, Sierra Art Trails is the most anticipated arts event in the region. The event takes place on Oct 2nd and 3rd, from 10 am to 6 pm, rain or shine. Participating communities include: Ahwahnee, Bass Lake, Cedar Valley, Coarsegold, North Fork, Mariposa, Oakhurst, Yosemite Lakes Park, and surrounding communities. Admission to the tour is $18 for 2 adults, and includes the annual Sierra Art Trails catalog, a lovely full color spiral bound publication that serves as a “ticket for two” for the event weekend, and as a directory of artists, galleries, and art events that take place in the area throughout the year. |

A list of catalog sales locations is available on
the event web site. Proceeds from catalog sales contribute to awards and
scholarships presented by Sierra Art Trails each year. Since 2003, the
organization has distributed over $9000 to art students, school art programs,
and organizations involved in the visual arts.
This year’s catalog features detailed maps to all Art Trails sites, and a listing of exhibiting artists including painters, photographers, jewelers, sculptors, fiber artists, ceramicists, glass artists, woodcarvers, and more. The Call to Artists for "Water, Source of Life" has begun. Coming in November 2010. November 6th through December 5th. Submission deadline - October 10th, 2010.
