Who We Are

Sierra Art Trails is a California-based 501(c)(4) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting artists, promoting art education, and enriching our communities through cultural tourism.

Our signature event, the Annual Open Studio Tour, showcases the work of local artists and artisans in homes, studios, galleries, and businesses across Eastern Madera and Mariposa Counties. The 2026 tour—our 23nd year—takes place over two weekends, October 2nd – 4th and 9th – 11th, 2026.

In addition to the tour, we offer workshops, demonstrations, lectures, and exhibits throughout the year, and raise funds for student sponsorships, school art programs, public art, and other community arts initiatives.

Sierra Art Trails is powered by dedicated volunteers who plan events, organize exhibits, and produce our annual catalog. Join us to discover exceptional art, meet the makers, and explore the beauty of the Yosemite Foothills in autumn.

Sierra Art Trails operates from Yosemite Gateway Art Center in Oakhurst. The gallery hosts the Sierra Art Trails Preview Exhibit, and displays a selection of artwork donated to our organization. The gallery also hosts Sierra Art Trails special exhibits, performances, lectures, and workshops throughout the year.

We are always looking for volunteers to help plan and manage our activities, exhibits, and events. If you are interested in joining the planning committee, or helping out as a volunteer, please contact us at 559-658-8844 or by email at admin@sierraarttrails.org

Sierra Art Trails relies on funds raised by participating artists, advertisers, and generous public and private sponsors.
