Who Can Participate?

Submission guidelines and applications requirements are available on the Sierra Art Trails Call to Artist Prospectus.

There are many reasons to participate in Sierra Art Trails.  Thanks to the support of the many talented artists and artisans that make our mountain communities their home, Sierra Art Trails is the largest and most anticipated art event in the area.

With a long-standing reputation for offering the best in fine art and fine craft, Sierra Art Trails is a great opportunity for exposure to a targeted, art buying audience.  For many Art Trails artists, participating in the show results in follow-up sales of their work, long term customer contacts, and other opportunities to exhibit of their work.

By participating in the tour you will not only be promoting your own artwork, you will also be supporting and enhancing your community by making it a place people look forward to visiting!

Participating artists are featured in the tour catalog, a resource that visitors keep and reference again and again.  Many Art Trails artists are contacted through the catalog after the event by customers, galleries, and others interested in their work.

Participating artists are included in the event’s Preview Exhibit which opens in Oakhurst four weeks before the event. The Preview Exhibit includes  representative works by every artist in the show, and is another great opportunity to receive exposure and sell your work.

Sierra Art Trails’ artists benefit from an extensive advertising campaign promoting the event. Advertising for Sierra Art Trails occurs year round, and includes direct mail, newspaper, radio, Internet, and television coverage.

Artists also benefit from the work of the Sierra Art Trails Planning Committee, a group of dedicated volunteers responsible for planning, promoting, and implementing the event.  The members of the planning committee bring a wide range of skills to the project, and are responsible for building a strong foundation that will insure the success of the show for years to come.
