ARTIST UPDATES
Artist #13 – Luba Pavluk is not showing on Friday Oct. 3rd
Luba will be out of the country visiting family, returning on Saturday. Her artwork will be on display at her show site while she is away.
Artist #22 – Teresa Sharp
Teresa will not be showing due to an unexpected medical procedure requiring recovery time away from her studio. She offers her sincere apologies. Some of her work is available during both weekends at Sierra Artist Gallery in Mariposa, and the Yosemite Sierra Artist Gallery in Oakhurst. If you would like to make an appointment to see her home studio on another date, please email her at teresajsharp@yahoo.com.
Artist #44 – Justyna Mioduszewska – Sunday Oct 5th and 12th
Justyna will be selling fresh baked organic sourdough bread made with ancient wheat. $12 per loaf. Her small business JUST BREAD is offered at local farmer’s markets and by delivery in Oakhurst and North Fork.
Special Events and Activities
Sierra Odyssey Screening and Panel Discussion – October 10th at 5:30 PM, Yosemite Gateway Art Center, Suite 6 – $15 admission $10 student admission. Half hour screening of PBS documentary of the first solo ascent of Mt Whitney by photographer and mountaineer Orland Bartholemew, followed by panel discussion with writer director Candace Egan and Oland’s son, producer Phil Bartholomew.
Art Lecture with SAT Cover Artist Elizabeth Saltos – October 11th 5:30 to 7:00 PM, Yosemite Gateway Art Center, Suite 6 – $15 admission $10 student admission. Learn about Elizabeth’s life and work. Elizabeth has been a working artist for over 30 years, with a focus on large scale sculpture, printmaking and ceramics.
